The Showgrounds Equestrian Centre has been established on the Perth Royal Showgrounds since 1990. Originally the business was started by the Fredricks family – Clayton is now based in England and is a very successful international event rider and Olympic SIlver Medallist.
The Showground’s Director is Michael Dagostino. Michael’s expertise is eventing and he has had significant success over a number of years.
The Zia Park Equestrian Centre complex includes a cross country training course, a fully fenced showjumping arena, Olympic-size dressage arena, an 800 meter training track, substantial round yard and a 3km riding trail surrounding the property.
The Oakford Equestrian Centre is managed by Michael Dagostino. Michael is a very experienced equestrian competitor and has competed in many different equestrian sports including hacking, dressage, show jumping, polocrosse and polo.

The VEC aims to provide a safe, friendly and enjoyable environment in which riders of all ages, experience and backgrounds can improve their riding skills and general knowledge of horses.
On a local level the Equestrian Tasmania is involved with the administration of horses and members and the organising bodies that deal with individual disciplines (such as Eventing, Dressage & Show Jumping)/areas(Pony Club, Riding for the Disabled, Saddle Horse). Currently the Tasmanian Branch is planning for the future and helping state governing bodies in developing evolutionary programs, initiatives and competitions so that horse sports may prosper in Tasmania.
Equestrian Queensland is the peak body for horse sports in Queensland and is the state body of the Equestrian Federation of Australia, which is the controlling body for horse sports in Australia and is affiliated with the Federation Equestre Internationale (FEI), which is the controlling body for horse sports world-wide. Equestrian Queensland also maintains affiliations with relevant Government and Non-Government agencies at the State level such as the Queensland Olympic Council, the Sports Federation of Queensland and Recreation Training Queensland.
We are a very friendly pony club located about 15 kms from the Darwin CBD on the corner of Lagoon & Secrett Road Knuckey Lagoon, Australia. We have 10 rally days on Sunday mornings in the months of February and March, where we learn skills, as well as having lots of FUN with our horses. Gymkhanas and other events occur in the cooler dry season months of May to August
