The BGT network stretches all over the state, with groups meeting monthly in over 60 locations. Individual groups decide where and when to meet. They also choose what to read – groups decide their own reading list from our catalogue of over 400 carefully selected titles.
The Penguin Books Australia Book Club presents reading choices that are selected especially for book clubs. Our book club recommendations are chosen for their broad appeal, relevance to current events or cultural moments.
Read Rap is a book club for primary school children and is held at Campbell Turnbull, Coburg, Fawker and Glenroy libraries.

The Mature Man’s Book Club is especially for older men in the community to encourage a discussion about reading likes and dislikes, and to talk about different books across all genres, both fiction and non-fiction.
Established in 1931, it is the oldest stud book society for ponies in Australia, recording the pedigrees of nine pure pony breeds.
Hutt Street Book Club meet at Hutt Street Library, from 6.30pm – 8pm, in the upstairs meeting room.
