JAAM Basketball was founded in 1993 and is the first and largest private basketball association in Australia.JAAM offers numerous junior and senior grades with over 1000 active players, coaches and referees.

The Frankston District Basketball Association’s origins can be traced back to 1959. A group of students from the Frankston Teacher’s College traveled to Albert Park for a tournament where they met other players from Frankston. Through these contacts made, a few games were organised to cater for the need in the Frankston area. The earliest games were played at the Balcombe Army Barracks.

The birth of the Geelong Basketball Club took place when a group of local basketball officials decided to look for a greater challenge.Officials of the Geelong Amateur Basketball Association felt that Geelong should be represented in the top Victorian competition, the VBA.
Timberwolves Basketball Club is affiliated with the Waverley Basketball Association and enters teams in the Junior & Senior competitions. Membership is open to all junior and senior players interested in playing basketball. We have teams that cater for all skill levels – novice beginners through to highly skilled A Grade players. The Club originally drew membership from the East Malvern area however, overtime this has expanded to include members from all areas surrounding the Waverley Basketball Stadium.

Our club caters for all players from under 10 s to under 20 s, We play at the Vince Hickey Basketball Stadium Dixon Street, Auchenflower on either Friday nights or Saturdays.
The Chargers were born in 1997 after the demise of the NBL Devils. We are an elite mens basketball team that provide an opportunity for participation in competitive basketball at a National level.
We are based in Greenvale, in the north western suburbs of Melbourne, Our teams train at the Greenvale Recreation Centre, Barrymore Road, Greenvale.
Part of MEBA/GEBC competitions, feeder club for the Nunawading Spectres. Open to junior ages (U8-U23). Outer Eastern Melbourne.

The Kingborough Sports Centre has four indoor courts used for basketball, volleyball, soccer & netball. Four squash courts are also located at the centre. Areas are all available for hire subject to availability.
