Art & Craft Club


Bowral was the sixth ADFAS society to form in 1988 after Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Armidale and Newcastle. 110 members attended the inaugural lecture given by Anna Clark in March 1998.

The Australian Decorative and Fine Arts Societies (ADFAS) are a group of 33 Societies that offer their members a series of monthly informative and entertaining illustrated lectures plus some workshops covering a broad range of subjects relating to art.
Our group of wood-turners has been meeting in the Blue Mountains since early 2000. Our monthly meetings regularly attract over 40 active and interested wood-turners who want to learn more about our chosen art and to encourage others to enjoy the pleasures of wood-turning.

The Colour in Embroidery Group meets monthly at Guild Headquarters. Our focus is the use of colour in embroidery, with a leaning towards creative, contemporary work using colour, stitch and design.

The club meets at Boothtown Reserve Greystanes Scout Hall, Gipps Rd, Greystanes, NSW 2145 – Ph# 02 9636 4203.

We are now in our 29th year. Our focus has always been to provide a valuable and informative platform for leatherworkers to gain more expertise and enjoyment with the help of our newsletters, workshops, demonstrations, open days, beginners courses and our weekly gatherings for all levels of leatherworkers.

The Newcastle Gallery Society aims to stimulate wide community interest in the Gallery. Throughout the year the Society arranges lectures and films on the visual arts, special previews of exhibitions and visits to other galleries and collections for its members . Through fund-raising and income from events, the Gallery Society is able to provide support for Gallery programs.

The PMC Guild International is a membership-based educational organisation founded in 1997 to promote instruction, research, teaching and exhibition of Precious Metal Clay.
The Southern Region of the Sydney Woodturners Guild meets at the “Cubby House”, Como Road, Oyster Bay. The Region holds regular meetings with a “Maxi-Day” held on the third Saturday of every month from around 8:30am.

The Toukley & Districts Art Society has long been established on the Central Coast, and is based in “The Federation Gallery”, located in scenic Wallarah Peace Park at Gorokan, beside Budgewoi Lake.

Art Deco in the Tropics � Innisfail Inc., was established in 2002 to promote, conserve and celebrate the architectural heritage of Innisfail and surrounding townships.

Formed in 1931, the Cairns Art Society (CAS) is North Queensland’s leading community art association and going from strength to strength.

Gympie Calligraphy Group exists as an informal get together and grew out of a desire of some beginner students to learn more.

Our mission is to advance the appeal to shape and polish the future of lapidary and allied crafts in the state of Queensland, Australia.

The lectures are supported by an association of 34 societies throughout Australia , with some 6000 members in all states. They are experts in their field and are often curators of galleries or professionals who have written widely in their subjects.

The AVAA is the leading National Body of Auctioneers & Valuers of goods, chattels, plant and equipment. Incorporated in 1952. The AVAA has been instrumental in establishing and maintaining the high level of professionalism found in the industry in Australia.
