By 1949, some Windang residents began talking about the formation of a bowling club and on 5 September 1949, a meeting in Peter Clark’s hall set about the business of forming a club. Minutes written in the back of a cookbook show that eighteen men attended. They elected a Management Committee and agreed to form a bowling club.
